HOW TO SCHEDULE INSTAGRAM CONTENT
Recently, Facebook Business Suite has integrated the Facebook family of apps. The integration aims to give a smoother process in cross-promoting posts between Facebook 2.89 billion and Instagram’s 1.074 billion monthly active users. Using a centralized platform, here’s how to schedule Instagram content!
Connect your Instagram Account with Facebook Business Suite. There are two ways to connect your Instagram account with Facebook Business Suite. First, via the Facebook Business Suite app on mobile.
- Click the “Toolbox” icon at the bottom of the screen and select “Settings.”
- Tap “Connect to Instagram”
- Tap the blue “Connect Account” button.
You will then see a confirmation screen requesting you to allow access to Instagram messages in your inbox. Once you confirm, you will be asked to choose whether to continue using Facebook Business Suite on your Facebook or Instagram account.
You can also connect your Instagram account to Facebook Business Suite via desktop.
- Click the “Settings” icon on the left side of Facebook Business Suite.
- Choose the “Connect Instagram” button. You will receive a prompt that your personal Instagram account will be converted into a professional account.
- Click “Connect Account” and the blue “Continue” button to allow Instagram messages in your inbox.
After completing the process of connecting your Instagram account to Facebook Business Suite, it will automatically show up on the screen. If you are not logged in via desktop, you may need to log in and activate two-factor authentication.
Create Instagram Content. After connecting your Instagram account to Facebook Business Suite, you can now start creating and scheduling posts.
- Click “Posts & Stories” in the toolbar on the left side of your screen.
- You can toggle between posts and Stories at the top of the page display. Four options will also show on the screen – analytics, drafts, published post, scheduled post.
- Choose the published section to create a feed or story post.
- At the top-right corner, click Create Post.”
- Choose whether to publish the content on Facebook, Instagram, or both.
Facebook Business Suite allows users to upload images and videos. A box text box on the left allows them to toggle adding or customizing messages for both Facebook and Instagram. Users can also add hashtags, filters, mentions, and product tags. A video marketing agency Hong Kong has noted that with Instagram Carousels, users can add up to 10 photos and videos, all at the same time. A user can also add a location before hitting the published button.
Schedule Instagram Content. Facebook Business Suite also allows users to schedule Instagram content.
- After creating a post, click the small arrow beside the published button.
- Choose whether to save the post as a draft or schedule its publication.
- Click “Schedule Post” and choose the date and time when you would like to publish it.
Alternatively, you can go directly to “Scheduled Post” on Facebook Business Suite instead of “Published Post.”
