How to Schedule Instagram Content

How to Schedule Instagram Content

A digital marketing speaker Hong Kong once said: “The most effective social media strategy is to show the right content to the right people at the right time.” It means three things among marketers. First, share quality social media posts, something that your audiences crave or interest them. Second, segment your target audience according to demographics, interests, online activities, and preferences. Third, post during the times where most of your target audiences are active.

Instagram ranks as the 4th most used social media app around the world. With 1.074 billion monthly active users, it can be a great marketing platform. More than 10 years ago, Instagram started as a simple social media platform. Its effects, filters, and frames made people interested in the app. In 2012, the king of social media acquired Instagram. Since then, the platform has evolved from a photo-sharing site into a photo-and-video sharing network.

When it comes to targeting audiences, Instagram is more powerful than Facebook. Using hashtags make it easy for brands and businesses to attract relevant audiences and encourage them to follow their page. Instagram Stories are also the easiest way to boost engagement using mentions, product tags, stickers, etc. A social media agency Hong Kong notes that Instagram’s algorithm is smarter than Facebook. They can target people based on accounts they followed, most liked type of content, and user interests besides demographics.

THE BEST TIME TO POST ON INSTAGRAM

The number of Instagram followers on a brand or business page is not enough when you want to gain popularity and run effective ads within the platform. Other important factors should be taken into consideration like the best time to post on Instagram. Posting at Instagram’s peak times or the time where most of your followers are online can boost your ad’s reach and make it more effective. It also helps improve your engagement rate.

When you post on Instagram at the right time, there is a higher chance for the right people to see your content. In turn, it gets more comments, followings, likes, saves, shares, and views. On the other hand, posting on Instagram when your target audiences are not around can negatively impact your content. You may be disheartened not to receive the amount of engagement you are expecting.

The Instagram algorithm showed that the best time to post on the platform is around 5:00 AM, 11:00 AM, and 4:00 PM. It is because people normally check their phones when they wake up, as they prepare for lunchtime, and as they get tired before the end of a day’s work. The best day to post on Instagram is Thursday. Posting during weekdays generates a lot of engagement than posting during weekends.
